Pinch and Attack
The drill focuses on D-Man pinching and creating an opportunity from it. The Defenseman will pinch and sticklift the dummy to corral a puck. The Skater will then do a quick boardside escape to beat the low defender before attacking the net. This drill can progress with another teammate as well. They will rim a puck and slide out into the slot for a one timer following their teammates escape move.

Dummy Chaos
This is a great drill for younger players looking to improve their play with their heads up! On the coaches whistle, players will skate and stickhandle with two other skaters and the dummies in the circle. There will be lots of sticks and lots of bodies so make sure to keep your heads up!

Power Play Options
This drill can be done from both sides and can be flipped after each rep. The player receiving the puck from up top will first take a shot before peeling back to their starting position, receiving another puck and making a cross ice pass.

Defenseman Blue Line Walk
This drill is working on walking the blue line as a defenseman. The orange trails indicate the first rep of the drill and yellow trails indicate the second rep of a drill. See video attached.

Low Traffic Shots
This drill can be done with 2 or more variations to allow more shots. The black patterns above indicate the first part of the drill and the purple patterns indicate the second. See attached video for example.

4Check 1 Zone Passing
This drill will start with a coach throwing a puck in deep with 2 defenseman skating backwards to retrieve. Upon retrieval, the two skaters will break out while making cross ice pass. Once they reach the top they will enter the zone, make passes through the dummies and finish with a shot!

Rim Pickup w Screens
F1 will rim a puck around the wall to play F coming down the sidewall. Player F will pick up the rim and make a creative move around the first dummy before cutting to the net and shooting through the screen of the second dummy.

D-Man Traffic Shots
This drill focuses on walking the blue line and getting shots through defenders as a defenseman. Make sure to keep your head up and find those small lanes to get the puck through.

D-Zone D to D
This drill is to work on getting up the ice and getting our heads up as defenseman on a breakout. This drill can be done continuously until a whistle is blown.
